The GBUK Annual Bead Fair is organised by Roy and Pat Ayre (Gallowglass Beads). In 2008, this fabulous three-day event runs in conjunction with the biennial International Glass Festival, which takes place across various venues in Stourbridge. The London Bead Fairs (in February and September) are organised by West of England Events. Further details about all of their events are available on their website. Fair opening times are 10.00am to 4.00pm.
Around 290 artists will be participating in Surrey Artists Open Studios 2008. Each studio 'offers a unique experience: an opportunity to watch artists at work, have a go yourself, browse completed works and see work in progress. Most artists offer work for sale.' 2008 will be my first year of participation and I know there'll be many more to come.
The inaugural Big Bead Show held in Esher in December 2007 was a fantastic event by all accounts. Organised by Bead Magazine, full details about the Big Bead Show 2 are now available on their website.
